Role Summary
The IT Systems & Security Manager will take end-to-end ownership of Lafiya’s IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity protocols. The successful candidate will build robust IT governance frameworks, manage device fleets, administer business-critical SaaS tools, and ensure operational readiness while serving as the primary technical leader for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
As the IT Systems & Security Manager, your key duties will include:
- IT Governance & Policy: Establish, document, and enforce IT governance standards, asset management procedures, and security controls across all remote and hybrid offices.
- Device & Infrastructure Management: Oversee, configure, and maintain 20+ Windows and Mac endpoint devices to ensure peak operational security and uptime.
- Cloud & Platform Administration: Administer enterprise user accounts, licensing, and platform subscriptions, with direct management of Google Workspace and Slack environments.
- Cybersecurity Operations: Implement comprehensive cybersecurity policies, enforce access controls, and conduct regular vulnerability and risk assessments.
- Technical Leadership & Support: Provide hands-on end-user technical support while delivering strategic guidance to executive leadership on scalable IT solutions.
Key Requirements & Qualifications

- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent quantitative discipline.
- Work Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure management, ideally within a small organization or non-governmental organization (NGO).
- Platform Expertise: Demonstrated hands-on administration experience with Google Workspace, Slack, and user directory management.
- Device Management: Proven experience maintaining and securing a fleet of 20+ Windows and Mac devices.
- Professional Certifications: Must hold a recognized cybersecurity certification such as CompTIA Security+, ISC2 (e.g., CC, CISSP), or equivalent.
