To strengthen our operational reporting and data monitoring teams, we are seeking a precise, analytical, and highly organized Assistant Statistician (M/F) to join our team in Dibamba.
Role Overview
As an Assistant Statistician, you will play a critical role in data collection, input verification, variance analysis, and production reporting. You will collaborate closely with international production teams, warehouse supervisors, and management to maintain total accuracy between physical stock, system entries, and operational cost parameters.
Key Responsibilities
- System & Discrepancy Auditing:
- Monitor and clear unprocessed or failing transaction errors in the COGI error log.
- Audit and cross-check discrepancies between system entries made by the international technical team and actual physical quantities received at the warehouse.
- Track and verify the presence of semi-finished goods stored in intermediate buffer areas.
- Variance & Cost Analysis:
- Identify and investigate abnormal production losses falling outside the standard $\pm10\%$ threshold, with a specific focus on high-variance items exceeding $\pm20\%$.
- Analyze raw material cost variances outside the $\pm10\%$ allowance range, investigating severe deviations exceeding $\pm20\%$.
- Raw Material Receiving & Stock Tracking:
- Prepare official material receiving lists based on daily production plans and audit actual deliveries against scheduled plans.
- Perform consistency checks on received stock in relation to daily output logs and investigate emergency stock arrivals.
- Record stock entries in accordance with production plans and cross-verify actual daily manufacturing figures.
- Conduct monthly physical inventory counts for raw materials across all active production lines.
- Finished Goods & Daily Reporting:
- Log finished goods entries into management systems, verify physical production figures, and track line progression.
- Confirm and process product returns coming off the production line.
- Compile, draft, and submit clear, accurate daily production and operational reports for management.
- Build a deep working knowledge of plant manufacturing processes, product codes, and raw material classifications.
Required Profile & Qualifications
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree ($Bac+3$) in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
- Professional Experience: At least two (02) years of relevant and proven professional experience in a similar statistical, inventory control, or production auditing role.
- Technical & Software Skills:
- Strong mastery of core Microsoft Excel formulas, including
VLOOKUP(RECHERCHEV),SUMIFS(SOMME.SI.ENS),INDEX+MATCH(INDEX+EQUIV), andIFERROR(SI.ERREUR).

- Language Skills: Good proficiency in English (essential for interacting within an international workplace).
- Work Requirements: Flexibility and full availability to work overtime when required by operational schedules.

- Proven ability to work under pressure and consistently deliver accurate reports within strict tight deadlines.
