Role Overview We are seeking two (2) highly motivated and creative Camera Operators and Video Editors for full-time employment in Buea. The ideal candidates will possess a strong eye for visual storytelling and the technical expertise necessary to capture and polish broadcast-ready content. You will be responsible for handling a variety of production equipment and editing software to produce engaging visual narratives for our network.
Core Responsibilities & Key Skills
- Camera Operation: Expertly operate a wide range of camera equipment, including DSLR, Mirrorless, and professional Broadcast cameras, for both in-studio recordings and on-location shoots.
- Video Post-Production: Perform comprehensive video editing tasks using Adobe Premiere Pro to cut, arrange, and refine raw footage into final, broadcast-ready programs.
- Motion Graphics: Design and integrate basic motion graphics, lower thirds, and visual effects using Adobe After Effects to enhance production value.
- Event Photography: Capture high-quality still photography during special events, interviews, and field coverage to supplement our media broadcasts.
- Creative Collaboration: Work closely with producers, directors, and other team members, utilizing strong storytelling skills to ensure the final product aligns with DMRTV’s mission and creative standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: A minimum qualification of a GCE Advanced Level certificate (or equivalent educational background).
- Experience: Proven prior experience working in professional camera operation and video editing environments.
- Attributes: Exceptional technical aptitude, a high degree of creativity, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong capacity for teamwork.
