Open Positions & Core Responsibilities
Position 1: Café / Restaurant Staff
- Role Summary: Serve as the welcoming face of the establishment, ensuring every customer enjoys a fast, efficient, and pleasant experience.
- Core Responsibilities:
- Welcome patrons, take food and beverage orders accurately, and handle customer queries professionally.
- Manage front-of-house service areas, keeping counter areas tidy and ready for service.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and promptly.
- Support daily opening and closing routines, inventory tracking, and operational checks.
Position 2: Kitchen & Restaurant Assistant
- Role Summary: Support both the kitchen team and front-of-house operations to maintain high culinary hygiene and smooth service delivery.
- Core Responsibilities:
- Assist kitchen staff with ingredient prep, basic food setup, and plate presentation.
- Maintain strict hygiene standards by cleaning workstations, washing dishes, and sanitizing dining tables.
- Serve food and beverages to seated customers with care and attention to detail.
- Step in to support general restaurant tasks whenever demand spikes during peak hours.
Required Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Location: Must reside in Obili or the immediate surrounding neighborhood (living directly within Obili is a strong advantage).
- Availability: Must be able to start work immediately.
- Communication Skills: Clear, polite verbal communication in French and/or English, with an ability to engage positively with customers and teammates.
- Work Ethic: Strong commitment to honesty, punctuality, active learning, and personal responsibility.
- Physical Stamina: Comfortable working on your feet during busy shifts and handling active physical tasks in a kitchen/restaurant setting.
- Teamwork & Flexibility: Willingness to pitch in across different duties when team members need support.
