Role Overview & Expectations
The selected driver will play a key logistical role in supporting field activities, community outreach programs, and transportation requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe transport of project personnel, goods, equipment, and agricultural produce across various project locations.
Key operational responsibilities include:
- Safe Transportation: Safely operating vehicles to transport staff, project goods, and equipment in full compliance with safety standards and traffic laws.
- Logistics & Field Support: Assisting with transport needs, especially during intensive harvest and field distribution periods.
- Vehicle & Asset Maintenance: Maintaining organization vehicles with standard care, conducting routine checks, ensuring vehicle cleanliness, and demonstrating respect for all organizational equipment and property.
- Community & Team Collaboration: Working respectfully and collaboratively with local farmers, community partners, and field project teams.

Qualifications & Candidate Requirements
Good Neighbors Cameroon is looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and professional experience:
- Licensing: Must possess a valid Category B driving licence.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ professional driving experience in operating similar light/commercial vehicles and transporting goods.
- Vehicle Experience: Specific experience handling pickup trucks, particularly double-cab vehicles, is considered an asset.
- Geographical Knowledge: A solid, practical knowledge of the road networks and rural tracks within the Akoeman Subdivision and its surrounding areas.
- Schedule Flexibility: Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, maintaining high availability during peak harvest and heavy transportation cycles.
- Professional Attributes: Must be punctual, rigorous, disciplined, and demonstrate a high commitment to road safety and personal responsibility.
